REALJAZZCAT Victims' List

eBay seller REALJAZZCAT has been running scam tube auctions for almost a year. He gold plates the pins and then sells them as original factory Gold Pin Tubes. He also sells GE 12AT7/6201 tubes as genuine Telefunken ECC801S.

Below is a list of his victims over just the last few months. He has actually scammed MANY more buyers out of thousands of dollars. The really sad part is that his victims don’t even realize that they’ve been scammed. We need your help:

1. If you know any of these victims, would you kindly inform them that they have been scammed and encourage them to complain to both REALJAZZCAT and, more importantly, eBay.

2. In order to remain anonymous, we can only post this on the Audio Asylum and Internet Usenet Newsgroups. This leaves MANY more websites where this information should be posted. Therefore, we strongly encourage people to copy this information (or link) and post it on audio or related Internet sites so that as many people can be made aware of this fraud. We would greatly appreciate any assistance with this. Thank you.

Here are the lists (Victim/Location/Auction Number/Price Paid):

I agree that some of his auctions look questionable, posted on October 9, 2004 at 05:52:33

and I bought an ECC801S from him a while back. I'm firmly convinced that I have a real Telefunken ECC801S. Just a quick look this morning at his auctions makes me think much of his stuff is bogus.

Guess I'm just lucky.

Looking at his feedback, there are only 2 negatives. How is it then that you list many more people than 2? Not defending him but also not agreeing with your claim. Please explain.

Realjazzcat is a 100% fraud artist with many scams successfully completed under his belt. Like the also notorious Bugleman, there is no shortage of willingly gullible buyers and lots of positives from people who don't know the difference.

I have been hearing about the Infamous RealJazzCat for quite a while now. I have NOT been scammed, but I do have some concern about this. What I'd like to know is, if you are trying to help those in need, do you not identify yourself? Also, should not you have sent this information to the aforementioned privately? They are the ones most likely to want to contact the authorities.

If your intention is to alert people as to the practises of RealJazzCat, that has been covered here ad naseum, and could have been done without mentioning people who's names that have probably not given you permission to use. I for one, would appreciate getting a private email, or letting me know how to contact you in private, if you think I might have been scammed.

As is now, it seems that this is possibly a thinly disguised vendetta, which I hope it is not.

Regards,

Gene

An Open Letter to eBay Bidders

Dear ebay bidders,

Recently I have had some cyber-lunatics who go under the ebay names of scambuster-3 No longer a registered user , kool-kiwi(0) No longer a registered user and
vintage-rat dba. Concerned Citizens ( fraudulent post concernedcitizens@coolkiwi.com No longer a registered user ) stalking my ebay activity, contacting my bidders with transaction-interference, stalking my past sales and present purchases with the sole purpose to ruin my business, lie, and spread slander. Currently scambuster-3 and kool-kiwi are no longer a registered members of eBay at this time. Vintage-rat originally contacted me to buy tubes outside-of-eBay, and when I refused he launched his personal vendetta. He had created a yahoo defamatory website, which has been shut down as a FRAUD-SITE , and has been guilty of ebay transaction-interference and slanderous accusations, which is against eBay rules and was subsequently shut-down by yahoo and recorded on his permanent ebay record. Vintage-rat is suffering from illusions of grandeur fueled by his stooges as he attempts to spread slander for his own personal satisfaction. He was selling under an “un-registered” status, until someone reported him to eBay’s trust and safety department, and he subsequently was forced to register.

Please disregard and report any emails or slander-mail you may be subjected to and receive by scambusters, vintage-rat, kool-kiwi or others and send them to my attention. I am offering a REWARD for anyone who provides me any spam, transaction-interference emails, or defamatory information or emails received from anyone involved in eBay transaction interference.

eBay has shut down vintage-rat’s ridiculous ads for his fake tubes and has taken the appropriate action in accordance with eBay’s listing policies. Violations of eBay's listing policies, member harassment and slander can lead to consequences that range from suspension, to an indefinite suspension or terminating the membership. Repeated violations of eBay's listing policies can result in the suspension of a member's account.

It is unfortunate that we have losers like this on ebay and I regret having to put up with such nonsense, but I back my auctions with a 100% satisfaction guarantee, and RMA for credit only, unless specified otherwise.

Again, I am offering a REWARD for anyone who provides me any spam, transaction-interference emails, or defamatory information or emails received from Vintage-rat or others. Also, thank you for letting us know about a potential violation of the eBay Board Usage Policies. I thank those who already submitted emails from these losers, and have helped keep eBay a safe and fun market-place to trade.

Good Luck bidding!
