 30 years ago, my housemate Doug came from Marin. Yup, his family fit the stereotype. Well-off, when they got a new BMW 5 series, they gave Doug their old Volvo station wagon. When Doug got back to our Santa Cruz apartment, he had the new Naughty By Nature CD. And everybody loved "O.P.P." Doug sighed, "I guess when this brings in a white guy like me, you know it's everywhere." "O.P.P." was about being in a relationship, but having sex with others on the side. Boy or girl, we all looked at each other, acknowledged that no one had a steady girlfriend or boyfriend. If you were a boy, "O.P.P." stood for "other people's pussy." And if you were a girl, "O.P.P." stood for "other people's penis." If two people cheat, they were supposed to enjoy it, walk away, and never say a word about it. Funny thing was, audiophiles would rail against hip hop. And then, they'd try to sing "O.P.P.," but simply could not keep up with Treach's vocals and sly lyrics. -Lummy The Loch Monster
