In 1986, my schoolmates were reading Stereo Review and Audio magazines. We had also heard about Hi-Fi Choice, Stereophile, and The Absolute Sound. The very first Stereophile I bought was this one from June 1986. I got it from a small store, whose name I do not recall, on Kaheka Street, in Honolulu. It was near Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, and across the street from Holiday Mart (which is now Don Quijote).

Just like you had to search (no internet back then!) for Stereophile, you had to search for artists' "secondary" material, such as GTR's "The Hunter." Rock music audiophiles like playing obscure commercially-available songs like "The Hunter," which got little airplay in 1986, hardly any now.
