Hailing from Canberra, Australia, jazz fusion guitarist Frank Gambale became better-known in the late-80s and early-90s, as a member of the Chick Corea Elektric Band.

20 years ago, Gambale came out with a mature solo instrumental album, Coming To Your Senses. You can't quite tell from the YouTube video, but sound quality on the album is excellent. Perhaps the closest he came to Joe Satriani-like rock was "Circular Quay." We wish more rock instrumentals were as good as this.

NO I'm SHOCKED. Frank Gambale is one of the best electric guitarist around today (he's also a great teacher) and I would have never expected to see anything by him appear in this thread. His genre is definitely fusion. I saw Chick Corea Elektric Band back around the early 90s in Minneapolis and Frank was a monster then (and still is). I just want to add this, I meet Frank at the Iridium in NYC. He is one of the nicest most humble person I've ever meet. Usually someone of that talent level doesn't mind letting you know it but not Frank. Thanks for posting and keep it coming.
