Yesterday was Good Friday. Some of us weren't supposed to eat red meat. But ah, that meant we could go out for ice cream. Nevermind that, as a dairy product, it was made with input from cows.

We were out with my daughter's fellow 3rd grade classmates. As I sat down with my macapuno (coconut) scoop, what should come on, but Toto's "Stranger In Town."

Man, when I was in 8th grade, at the end of 1984, this was a minor [and I do mean minor] "hit." I don't know about your locale, but since then, I never heard "Stranger In Town" on the radio. You hear many Toto songs, but not "Stranger In Town."

You know what this means. As an audiophile, you're used to dabbling in obscure, or not that well-known music by pop music artists. So the next time you are at a gathering, show, or store, bust out "Stranger In Town," and you'll be a hero. And then some audiophile will huff that it's a tragedy that "Stranger In Town" wasn't more popular, didn't get more attention/airplay/sales.
