 Does the Melco N1A convert DSD by any chance? I can't find info on this.

It is amazing to me that it seems you must spend big money on other lines to get this functionality. For example, the lower-level Aurenders don't do it at all.

 I used to use my notebook computer as a music server with Foobar2000 freeware. It would convert DSD to PCM and the sofware is free.

PAR
 DSD replay in the N1 series has a setting " PCM Only " . This converts DSD to PCM according to the software manual.

 My Auralic Aries Mini appears to do it, at least when using the USB output to play a DSD file through a DAC which doesn't support DSD.

This feature doesn't appear to be documented, though.
