Best way for YouTube on DAC?

Is the web browser set at HQ playing YouTube via Chrome still the best way to get YouTube audio?

I had a Chromecast to HDMI to SPDIF converter but prefer the USB sound. Question is in more regards to software players, does anyone know an application that crawls YouTube and just outputs audio?

 I have Chrome and HQ, but don't see how to get them to work together.

I'm sorry, I meant HQ setting in the videos on YouTube for highest stream able quality,

What you are asking me is what I am asking you all, I use Audirvana and would love a YouTube plugin, or something similar, I am sure there is a need for something like this. For HQ player would also be great.

There are lots of live and unreleased archival music on YouTube that you can't get with other streaming services.

 I can already do that with with my USB Dacs.
I just select one in Applications/Utilities/Audio Midi, then select 24/96, and Viola!
No Audirvana or HQ needed, unless you want to convert to DSD.
I don't know how to do that, but I do record some things off the Internet
with good results, and I can play those files in HQ to upsample DSD, or even record the 24/96 Content in DSD with Sony D100.
And I use Safari for that.

 In Audio Midi, set Built-in Output to 24/96, make sure the Dac is also set to 24/96,
then in System Prefs/Audio, select the Dac.

 I have it set to 32 bit 384khz

not sure if it is upsampling or whatever but that's what the clock says.

If you use LMS so then you can install a youtube plugin.
