After rebooting Windows 10 after latest update Signalyst HQPlayer Desktop stopped working. Tried uninstall and reinstall to no avail. Ended up using Acronis to restore Windows to earlier state before the Windows update and stopped Windows Update for 1 week Checked the Signalyst Web site and the latest version is still 3.16.1.

Just thought I should give a word of caution here.

Yes, the Creator update took the HQPlayer out here. I'm sure Jussi will have a fix with a new version very soon.

Microsoft comes through for us again.

After the Microsoft update, iTunes stopped working. I uninstalled iTunes and then re-installed. Finally, I saw an error message that Bonjour had stopped working. So, I uninstalled and re-installed that and after two hours of watching the spinning Microsoft update icon, it all worked again. What a major PITA.

Damien said Apple won't fix it.

What is the latest update? I notice that Mercman is talking about the Creator update but this is not yet available via the usual automatic update engine and has to be manually installed.

Please let us know the update you are talking about i.e. the KB number ( go to update and install history to find it). I received KB4019472 today. Is that what you are talking about?

I found with the last update, [would have been a week or so, but it may have been available a while longer] that it changed a lot of settings.
For example with Tidal it changed my device from my DAC to the laptop speakers. It also made changes in some other programs.
And it reset my power settings. For everyday music listening I have both screen settings at 1 minute, and shut down set to never. It changed both of those. The laptop shut down, when I wasn't using it, so I restarted it and noticed the screen was still on minutes later, so I checked the settings and they had all been changed.

So before doing reinstalls, check all the settings. You may get lucky, and not have to go through a lot of unnecessary steps.

the HQ Thread at Computeraudio.com.
Most setups described have numerous gadgets identified with Initials.
I don't know if that's part of the problem.
There are SO many products now that are identified with Initials.
I don't really know what most of them are...
My set-up is bare-bones, I guess, but HQ works great for me on Mac/Sierra.
Not so for AV+, tho.

now resolved. I don't use one so it didn't affect me.
