another quick question?

Anyone in or outside the US found a source for a QOBUZ LMS plugin?

I find NOTHING on the MySqueezebox home page but I am logging in from the US so that might be it?

Won't be back in France until later this summer so am I screwed? I could log in using a European ISP but that's a pain.

Can someone check?

TIA

You can probably do this via Ickstream. That was their goal to provide a pluggin for any streaming service.... I used Ickstream for Tidal when LMS was not supporting it.....

I would recommend going over to the Ickstream.com Forum and posing your question there.

That is the great thing about LMS, is that it has a host of Worldwide Developers offering Pluggins.

I was just thinking today that RP related stuff almost needs it's own topic. PC audio is pointless now thanks to MS and their forced update to Anniversary Edition which is horrible for audio. Linux Audio on the PC platform never did it for me.

I think Ickstream is your best Shot......Once you get Ickstream Set up, It is very easy to add other services, so I'd do it anyway.

I found a post on the Slim Devices forum which talked to QOBUZ...., posted on March 19, 2017 at 10:26:05

which then directed one back to the MySqueezebox home page.

Looks like I get to read through all 90 some odd pages of their forum tonight.

uRendu at $700 is looking better every day, but still, I would have to figure out how to load QOBUZ on it.

OK, a Wyred4Sound upgrade to my SONOS Connect does might be a solution. The un-modified SONOS Connect really does not sound even close to as good as a MacBook Air streaming QOBUZ when attached to the same DAC.

Sorry Ivan but for this type of streaming service I only get Tidal and Spotify in the list of Squeezebox apps. NB: no surprise.

C'est Eric!

It might be possible if I only read French!

With help from Google Translate:
"Please note that the installation of this plugin is not done directly from your Squeezebox or your MySqueezebox.com account but via the Logitech Media Server. The latter must therefore have a Synology NAS or a music server installed on your computer."

This is gonna be a LONG project. :-(

It should not be that long project at all. You are making it out to be more difficult than it is....

As he said the Pluggins go into the LMS Application running on your Computer, not the Device or Mysqueezebox.com...

I was wondering where you find the plugin. Looking at Le Blog d'Eric (c'est formidable n'est ce pas?), it looks like it comes from Pierre Beck's website ( I can just about see a URL in one of the screenshots). Just out of interest , is this the case?

For my part I am currently considering a hardware upgrade. The upgrade has a control/streaming app but, as so often, no embedded Qobuz only Tidal and Spotify. i'll talk with the guys at dCS behind it during the Munich show to see if it can be added (not LMS so Pierre's solution isn't for me). If not then the upgrade is considerably less attractive.

Will have a look on the wife's 'retina' iMac.

On the plus side, the investment here is small. I've go a storage room full of uncompleted projects of the kilo-buck (if not mega-buck) variety.

This one hardly measures up to that.

It is :

www.pierrebeck.fr/squeezeboxQobuz/repo.xml

I don't know if this will help but I hope so. BTW it isn't copied and pasted but typed by me so I hope it is free of error.

Thanks!

It's a good link and the instructions seem to be as follows:

""Go to 'Plugins' Tab under 'Settings' in the Logitech Media Server Web Browser.

Tick box to enable the Qobuz plugin, then click 'Settings' and enter 'username' and 'Password' also select preferred format 'flac' or 'mp3'

Add 'http://www.pierrebeck.fr/SqueezeboxQobuz/repo.xml' to repositories at bottom of 'Plugins' page.

Restart the Logitech Media Server""

When I get all of this set up I will try it.

See, that wasn't so hard......

A tip.... Make sure you display 3rd Party Pluggins so QOBUZ shows up. I didn't see QOBUZ there, otherwise I would have suggested this.... This is so Easy Peasy.......
