A musician I really admired B.B. Dickerson, original founding member and bassist of the group War, has died at the age of 71. He had one of the most distictive, deep bass sounds in music. |

I remembered the Burton era, but really didn't know much after that, so I looked them up and bought a 2 CD Hits and More. Wow! The bass lines are just fantastic. It's a decent recording too, but what's truly amazing is that my millennial son and his girlfriend loved it and we played the whole thing. The music has lived on like good comfort food. I learned about a new band from them as well. This kid sounds like a young Robert Plant. View YouTube Video -Rod |
