Might be enjoying the above a bit too much.

Even though I am guessing I really shouldn't be.

But I like pretty much everything Schubert did, so there is that.

It's almost fully written our in piano score, but with only a few measures of orchestration. I think that all it really requires is a little connecting passage and the orchestration.

It's the fourth movement that's the problem. I used to have the Marriner set of Schubert Symphonies, and they used a part of the Rosamunde incidental music as the fourth movement. I thought it worked out OK, but I'm certainly interested to know what Venzago has done in his own completion.

Botstein, Edward Gardner, or Chailly?

Don't want to listen to in three times.

I have this one, but I'd go for the Bergen on in Hi-Res.

It's the musical equivalent of the movie The Ring.

. . . and when that nurse comes in to my room saying, "It's time for your medication", it's Mantovani's inimitable "La Mer" (not Debussy's, and certainly not Glazunov's!) that I want to have playing in the background. . .

that you had at some point played it.

I'm streaming the Chandos/Gardner/Bergen right now.

Nothing bad has happened yet.

There's a Chocolate ad that has Piaf or an imitator.
There was a woman locally that did a Piaf Show, there was even a Ballet that used her singing with the Ballet Orch.
Just can't tolerate that nasal Piaf sound....

I agree about the nasal sound but she, along with a few others, are so bound up with the essential character of a particular song or two that anyone else is just an unsuccessful imitator. La Mer and Je ne regrette rien are examples.

Bob Dylan, anyone?

I'm sure you're right, but at least I can understand ( some of ) Dylan...
Maybe if I understood French I would appreciate Piaf more.
