Sad to say the great alto saxophonist Arthur Blythe passed away after a long illness. He was one of the great voices of that too often overlooked period of the late 70's and early 80's and is one of my all time favorites.

LOTS of joy poured out of his soul into his sax.

A unique voice, he's one of my all time favorites too.

Condolences to his family and friends.

He had it rough the past several years - I hope he's found peace and comfort.

Weird, but no doubt it was him.
His Vibrato is unique.
