And a bit different to the chunky wannabe dive watches that seem to dominate the wrists these days.

None of mine are 'collector watches' just everyday relatively inexpensive pieces. All have quartz movements, nothing purely mechanical. The one on the far right is a small titanium Seiko with sapphire crystal and it's my everyday watch. All of my watches have sapphire crystals that hold up better to scratching for me. The titanium is feather light compared to the others. The TAG Heuer is my oldest and the most accurate if you don't count the Citizen watches that cheat. The TAG was given to me in 1995 by my company. I've had it thoroughly cleaned and pressure tested by TAG authorized shops a few times over the years but it finally crapped out. I had the innards completely replaced by a local watch shop a couple years ago. The two Citizen watches are most accurate. They are time sync'd over the air by a radio signal transmitted from WWVB in Ft.Collins CO. Note that both second hands on the Citizens are in perfect sync. This is also how home "atomic clocks" work. The Tissot is about 7 or 8 years old, nothing special. |
