Rod, I would like to clarify how your current effort to purge the political posts relates to war in Ukraine coverage? There seems to be some ambiguity there, so I would appreciate your clarifying it.

What is fair?

The war is an issue. Political basing is a problem.

Can you give me some guidance?

-Rod

We all hear the 'mainstream' media blathering about this-and-that. I'm fairly certain that they all get their 'news' feeds from the same source (AP, UPI, whichever). Rush Limbaugh, RIP, used to do a 'montage' of multiple 'news' sources parroting the EXACT same words.

My point is that Victor brings a different perspective, and that is good.

As long as it doesn't degenerate into partisan politics and trolling.

People have disagreed about outcomes and purposes, but it hasn't degenerated into insults and taunts.
It's easy enough to skip those threads as well.

My opinion on the subject doesn't align with conventional wisdom. But the insults were mild, I didn't take them personally (as I'm sure there was no personal intent), and they only came from one or two other.

it was way out of CONTROL and from more than 2. Control it before hand following simple rules.

If people want to ARGUE ENDLESSLY or watch others do it, they can go to other websites. There are paaalenty of 'em.

Let's learn or talk about vacations, where to go, or concerts, or poison ivy destruction, planting grass, nice pics and cameras. Get answers to things a person doesn't know enough about, opinions on newer cars, diseases like Covid xx, or memory losses due to older age, what's happening overseas...

Agreed, I look forward to Viktor's posts on Ukraine ^, posted on August 13, 2022 at 20:39:33

Truth is like an arse. Everybody got one.
I want Russians to lose but it's not going to happen. Ukraine either will become a vasal state or it will be destroyed and its best people will perish. Since the west refused to send in it's troops Ukraine should have turned its back on the West and sign a treaty with Russians and wait for better times, meaning III world war between US and revisionists powers. To do that it would need to have an independent government with real power

Russia / Ukraine involves really big $$ in the form of gas/oil, agricultural products and general commodities like fertilizer. While the Palestine / Israel situation might tug on the heartstrings of some, the Russia / Ukraine situation tugs on the wallet strings of just about everyone.

He and I have disagreed about aspects of the Ukraine war and US foreign policy in general, no big deal.

Considering that gentlemen when in polite company DO NOT discuss politics or religion or the audibility of interconnects thus avoiding unnecessary confrontation.
