Tonight's lineup of Stooges episodes on MeTV (you probably get this on your cable or over antenna) is prime, some of the funniest episodes, all featuring Curly. I think they can be streamed too, if that's your idea of a good time.
"Pop Goes the Easel," "Playing the Ponies," the seldom seen and hilarious "Three Hams on Rye," and my favorite episode of all time, "The Sitter-Downers."
We generally have the Stooges on ever Saturday evening and these episodes are rarely shown. As far as I can remember, this is first time MeTV has shown "Pop Goes the Easel."

MeTV has a limited package of Stooges material shown in rotation. Whomever owns the catalog has done a wonderful remastering job.

Trivia Drop: The screenshot from Pop Goes the Easel shown here, has Larry's daughter Phyllis and Moe's daughter Joan as background extras.

IMO, half of the Stooges magic was the Foley work.

Shout out and respect to supporting actors Vernon Dent, Bud Jamison, and the beautiful Christine McIntyre; Bachelor of Music degree, Chicago Musical College, operatic soprano.

From what I've read about him, he either hosted or currently hosts a Three Stooges show in Chicago.

Paul Shannon's Adventure Time showed Stooges shorts in the afternoon and Shannon even had a bit part in one of Stooges' movies (think it was The Three Stooges Is Coming).
But he only showed the episodes with Shemp and Joe Besser. I saw the Curly episodes when I was a lot younger, kids' show on another local station.
But I remembered them. That kind of stuff sticks in your head.
Around 1990, 1991, TBS started showing all of them in order, early in the morning. I was getting up at 5:30 am in order to tape them on VHS. There were still episodes I missed. One of them is on tonight, "Three Hams on Rye." Never saw that short until a few years ago (we have the DVD sets).
Yes, Mrs. Ghost is a Stooges fan, too.

While you were watching them on TV we were on their lawn waiting for them to come outside. We actually met Moe and Larry. What a treat, nyuk nyuk nyuk!

Curly Joe DeRita was the third Stooge at that point.
But I didn't get to meet any of them. These days, I'd have tried to get a selfie.
No idea why Shannon didn't show the Curly shorts, guess it had to do with syndication rights or something.
I'm sure you remember Rodney and Knish.

I'm thinking of an episode with Curly where the boys get mistaken for Hollywood producers.
They were always getting mistaken for something.
At least this is the short episode, which means "The Sitter-Downers" will air in entirety.

The Stooges were on from 5 to 6.

Dinner was 5 to 7. So there was always a rush of guys in the dining hall after the Stooges.

To lessen the late rush, the school put a TV in the dining hall.

That worked out great until the pie fight episode, which started a food fight.

TV was gone the next day.

I live in pretty much a Dead Zone between SD / LA / OC and Riverside.

I'd need a rotor AND mast to stand a chance.....Along with a BigTime antenna...such as I link.

14' boom is huge by any standard AND not allowed per CCRs in this area.

As an adult, in the right context, it is funny. I can see such humor as a first step in some children developing a taste for cutting off puppies feet or killing the neighbors cat in the minds of some conscientious parents.

I'd say they are a key difference between Americans and Europeans.

I don't know anybody here who finds them remotely funny.
