The fires are old news now, but they apparently don't care.

Welcome to Mount Baker WA, "seen" from Artist Point
Really, it's there in front of you, all 10,771' of it.
This is about 15 miles from the Canadian border; photo taken on Wednesday.

. . . after weeks of smokey air, some of which was like what you show in your picture. I still think I'm smelling smoke inside the house from time to time. Best of luck with getting the fires in your area under control!

Yesterday was the first really clear day with blue skies and random white clouds. We could even see the mountains above the LA and Orange County haze from Catalina Island.

I'm hoping it's likewise in San Diego when we get back today.

A storm blew through last night & brought on a spectacular display of lightning & thunder. Air quality is distinctly better now, but the sky is still full of smoke with limited visibility.

If I still lived there, I'd have hustled quickly down to one of those outdoor tables at, posted on September 18, 2020 at 15:08:48

We're a few hours north of the border. Hills are now somewhat visible. Air quality is currently moderate at 6, forecast is 7 tonight, 8 tomorrow. A few days ago... 10+
I'll be happy if it rains here soon.
