I don't know about "nobody", but we'd certainly be better off with less bureaucracy, smaller government, more State control as opposed to Federal control, less regulation, and lower taxes.

Having the right person at the top, and those in Congress, hopefully can accomplish that.

Sounds like you copied that straight from Mussolini's Fascist Manifesto.

However I doubt you've read it.

I'm not going to do your reading for you because you wouldn't believe me anyway ergo a fool's errant.

Let's be clear. Are you saying that:

"less bureaucracy, smaller government, more State control as opposed to Federal control, less regulation, and lower taxes"

is a bad thing?

Blasphemy laws used to be very common in the United States, but there are still some in existence, including in Michigan, where cursing God is a G**-d*** misdemeanor.

In Connecticut ... a pickle must be able to bounce.
Here's a law that puts Connecticut farmers in quite a pickle. In 1948, two men were arrested for selling pickles that were "unfit for human consumption." Discussing ways to check for good pickles, officials declared that a pickle is legitimate only if it bounces. The pickles in question did not bounce — so the two men were arrested and fined, and the pickles were destroyed!

Oh buoy! If you're planning to retire on a boat, the Peach State is definitely not the place for you. According to state law, it is prohibited to live on a boat for more than a month.

Well, we sure do wish this would happen more to us, but sending an unprompted pizza is actually considered harassment in Louisiana! Triple check your address if you live in the Pelican State, or else you may be handing over a $500 fine.

In Maryland ... sleeveless shirts are banned in public parks.
You definitely won't like this one if you're a fan of muscle tees: In Baltimore, it's technically considered a park rule violation to be in a public park with a sleeveless shirt (yes, even if you're out for a run)!

In Michigan ... you can't sell your vehicle on a Sunday.
This law was enacted way back in 1953: It is unlawful to sell, trade or buy motor vehicles on a Sunday in Michigan due to religious reasons. According to the Wolverine State, time is better spent with family, friends or at church.

In New Mexico ... "idiots" are banned from voting.
One law in the state of New Mexico prohibits "idiots" as well as "insane persons convicted of a felonious or infamous crime" from voting. To our knowledge, this crazy law isn't enforced elsewhere.

Missouri state law: No vehicle sales on Sunday. Ok, I can live with that. It's just another state to drive through between Wisconsin and Texas. Unless our Pathfinder blows a gasket on Saturday afternoon while driving through the state, which it did. And, on New Year's weekend, so they're closed on Monday, too.

Of all the things I thought I'd do in life, I NEVER thought I'd buy a new Pathfinder in Rolla, Missouri on Saturday evening on New Year's weekend. But I did.

Edit: The Sirloin Stockade in Rolla is a great "all you can eat" buffet restaurant. We go there every time we drive through Missouri, so it's actually fortuitous (in an irritating way) that our Pathfinder died there, and not in, say, Pryor, Oklahoma.

I expect that there are many places that close up for Sunday's as well as holidays.

Years ago, I would visit my mom in North Mississippi for a long weekend. I had to remember to fill up on Saturday in order to drive back, because the gas stations were closed on Sunday. You could find gas in larger cities, but small towns rolled up the sidewalks Saturday evening. You couldn't buy alcohol on Sunday. If you wanted beer for a game on Sunday, you had to plan ahead.

Well, heck. Here it is Sunday (9/20/2020), I've got about a half a shot of vodka and no Kahlua, and it's illegal to sell spirits in Texas on Sunday. Damn. If I lived in Illinois, I could walk into any grocery store and get it.

He did not tell the truth. You need some lessons in recent history.

Fauci runs the CDC. The CDC told medical workers to LIE on death certificate, to put covid down no matter a test or not.

As far as I am concerned he sold out his credentials and even firing him with no replacement we are better off without MANDATING that people LIE.

I HAVE the document from the CDC on that. Yeah, my shit does not view PDFs, it downloads them. So I got hard copy. Want it ?

I really wish people would stay out of politics here because I WILL respond. They tell more lies about Trump than he ever could have said. Example ? Inject Lysol. He never said anything even close to that. The democrats lied.

So please, for the good of the site, take the politics elsewhere.
