Must have been drunk on Foster's. I hear that kangaroos are the only ones left in OZ that drink the stuff?

You can't buy Fosters in many liquor stores here! I haven't tried it in decades, so you could be right .......

That roo did a tidy job!

What's the deal with Fosters? Is it not very good? I have a cousin who orders those huge cans of Fosters whenever we're on a cruise ship. He loves the stuff.

I've only cruised twice but it was always entertaining watching him guzzle down those huge Fosters!

I actually tried the stuff a few weeks ago at a Bev Mo tasting. It was astonishingly bad. Even worst than Coors lite weight. T456

I don't know, and I don't care ;-)

They must have a market somewhere, but I don't know where!

Hmm, if it's worse than Colorado Piss Water, it must be pretty bad!

Trisha has been hit by two roos, both times they seemed determined to connect with the car.

Dealing with the poor injured things afterwards would be a bit of a bother, too I think.

I had one door dented where a small wallaby broadsided me - that's it.

Here in North America, the BIG problem is the MOOSE.

Hitting one of THOSE bad boys who have no fear and NO eye-shine (can't see 'em at night) is usually fatal to both the Moose and the car / passangers.

Moose are dumb and Very Impulsive when looking for a date. Farmers report lovestruck Moose hanging out with the COWS!

May be there is something in the air in Australia that makes animals do this.

We've got wild camels. I've seen them a couple of times, but they seem kind of slow and chilled out.
I've hit a waterbuffalo but they're almost gone now.
Cattle, bad, specially at night - they can get camouflaged with dust, and like your mooses, no eye shine. Luckily, fencing is gradually keeping them off the more remote roads.
Emus - nasty, like a huge turkey with legs just right to place the body through the windscreen - and they run around like psychos when the car gets close.
But worst by far are the 'roos. There are countless millions, in all sizes up to 80kgs - 90kgs.

Once a workmate hired a car up in iron ore country, didn't even get out of the airport to the highway before a big red kangaroo jumped out of nowhere onto the hood, caving in the windscreen and then hopped away - very much like the cop car above.

In some areas, specially after a extended good seasons followed by a dry spell there can be carcasses every 500 metres, for hours.

Looks like the big grill opening prevented the roo from coming up on the hood and into the windshield.

Pure luck of the timing.
If they are on the way up, or down, or right at the bottom, they can go under, through or over the top.

I watched one once, a fairly big wallaby jumping down a slope and landed right in front of an unsuspecting driver doing 60mph, 200 metres in front of me.

He hit it when it was right at the bottom of it's spring. It went in through the bottom of the grille and wedged between the drivers side tyre and the engine, instantly bursting the tyre (roo femur through the sidewalk I think) and locking the wheel. Very fast and scary for the driver who pretty much saw nothing coming at all.
He managed to hold it straight enough to stay on the road and was ok. Just shaky!
Others go through the windscreen and have been known to kick the crap out of who ever in there .....

Here in the more arid parts (the whole place is really arid, anyway) of SoCal, we have wild Donkeys.
They are a protected Species and you can't screw with 'em.

They'd come in my friends back yard and eat some of the vegetation. Act like they owned the place, which in a sense, they DID.

This might mean that lots of younger animals don't know what a car or a bike IS.

Our own Australian Magpies and Currawongs both of them belonging to the 'butcher bird' family can be very aggressive when 'protecting' their nests full of fledglings.

Bicyclists and walkers get dive-bombed a lot in Spring.

When I commuter cycled in to work (for about 8 years) this was a seasonal event which I did eventually get used to, only coming off the bike once in the first year.

The biggest risk to me was aggressive dogs out on their own.

Going after them was the solution, 'cause uncontrolled dogs owned by dick-heads are so brave, not!

I love Kangaroos. Granted I've never even seen one, but they amaze me. I want to visit OZ some day.
