BORON with a B. Intake over 3mg in the diet is incredibly inversely related to arthritis. Scientific studies show anti inflammatory properties and an increase in FREE testosterone. So sorry if anyone finds this boring and vacuous. IMHO this is earth shattering if true. Tweaker456

...does not a magic mineral make.

Extra testosterone also can accelerate male cancers like prostate or testicle.

Just a thought. Ever notice how few super horny young men don't get much prostate cancer with tons of big T floating around and old men do get it?

...is generally an old person's disease and slow growing.

Something like 90% of men who live to be 80 years old will get prostate cancer, although they will die from something else.

This is what looks like a excellent and comprehensive summery of the health effects of the magic mineral of the millinium, boron.

Don't know where you got that 90% figure, posted on June 26, 2017 at 22:44:02
"Indolent Prostate Cancer in Older Men" "An enigma of prostate cancer biology is that a high (> 70%) proportion of men over age 80 will have histologic evidence of prostate cancer on autopsy examination, although far fewer will ever manifest clinically evident disease.[3] It is unclear why this specific cancer, unlike colorectal or lung cancers, seems so prevalent in an indolent form in the aging male. The prevailing view is that the incidence of occult or indolent disease is similar worldwide, despite dramatic differences in clinically evident prostate cancer. For example, the incidence of prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia (PIN)-a lesion believed to be a precursor of prostate cancer-does not differ between the high- and low-risk groups in the United States.[4]" Things are bad enough but not that bad.

Best to ask MD, before taking Boron supplements. Esp if you have any kidney issues.

Thanks a lot for the post FR. While this site often pops up when I'm searching for stuff I have not used it much. The paring of conditions with peoples feedback could be very useful. And of course there is PUBMED to look at research. Not sure how useful the effectiveness comments are. Some people love the boron. T456

Dr. Dean Edell who had a radio talkshow for many years used to say that.
