Well, I'm now thoroughly convinced.

They are here, among us and trying to blend in as they study us.

And what Better Place than San Fran?

Yep, they parked it right out in plain site. Where else would it be certain to be ignored? And walked around while people (humans) get used to the idea of people from somewhere .... else....

Nope, you can NOW take me off the Skeptics List. I'm even willing to forego my problems with FTL travel. For now.

There's a town nearby by me that's called Vulcan and is apparently the home of Mr. Spock. Heck! it even has the old Enterprise ship in the middle of town for the Vulcans to enjoy.

At least the Vulcans are peaceful.

I don't know about those 'greys' or the pesky 'reptilians'.

Me, and my whole family has been around here since the 1840's ... no problem, posted on June 20, 2017 at 13:57:35
Hiding in plain sight is easy, since no one actually believes anything. Even me TELLING you!
We planned a picnic back in 1884 out Montana way.
Our vehicle had a problem.
(One thing we as a culture learned was: Darwin Rules, that is one is responsible for oneself. So we have no AAA Auto Club etc..)
Anyway, so my Dad decided he need some part.. And he became your Dude Tesla, to jump start the evolution of the electronics industry..
He left in 1996...
My Brother and Sister became Orca up off Washington/Vancouver way..

(To mention, we are DNA related to your 'cuttlefish' except we weigh about 6,000 of your pounds, and live around 1,700 of your years. We can disguise and manipulate our structure in ways you would never understand, including placing stuff into other dimensions in complex ways...

Anyway I am sticking around to do a school paper on the self destruction of a species (YOU) for extra credit. (we go to school longer than Humans live..,) And I figure you all have maybe 40 years before YOUR big bang extinction..
My Brother and Sister are STILL playing hooky...

So yeah, we are all over the place. "Men in Black" was way more than a movie. It is totally right on.

That story line in the original StarTrek had or rather HAS a ring of truth.
Imagine people taking charge of their OWN genetic future and working to improve the breed.
Fewer genetic diseases. Greater overall intelligence. A few physical attributes improved, and maybe a normal lifespan to 150 years.

No-No-No, that is not an "alien" space ship.

It's Wallace & Grommet's actual space ship that they built & went to the moon with to get cheese.

"Every one knows the moon is made of cheese."

Please don't forget ,PG, that Khan was an arrogant ruthless tyrant. One if not the most dangerous man to have ever lived. He exemplified the absolute worst of humanity. These traits should be bred out of the gene pool.

Should they?
Can such traits be divorced from other traits which may be useful?
Would a race devoid of some of the traits which made Khan great, ALSO at that time lose the 'edge' which makes the entire race, as a whole, want to 'excel'.

It is an experiment is do NOT want to run

"Should they?"
"Can such traits be divorced from other traits which may be useful?" Yes to both questions. Khan was a ruthless psychopathic murdering monster. What, pray tell, were his good traits that couldn't be divorced from killing and conquering and enslaving? And that Corinthian leather thing was self serving bullshit.

I believe that if what everyone thought to be 'defects' was eliminated from the genome, the human race would be diminished in ways we couldn't even imagine.

All those things are true about Khan the character, but we know little about the 'backstory'. Was he a genetic defective or a product of his environment? I suspect an unhealthy combination of both.

I think the Greys are here to recover Original genetic material to try to repair the damage done by the future to the race.

In fact Khan's background is quite well known!, posted on June 21, 2017 at 00:32:22
He was a product of genetic engineering. A superhuman designed to succeed where Hitler had failed. Yep, we need more like him.

Where's Mom you might ask...., posted on June 21, 2017 at 09:17:33
Well, my Brother and Sister are my Mom after she rebirthed.
In our species females can, under some circumstances, regenerate into a womb and self created twins.. Always a boy and girl. The negative side is her original personality vanishes, but the two children retain all her knowledge and memories.
About 2% of women of our species do this transformation, and the children of it are generally happier and live longer than ordinary children.
They also get to take special exams instead of regular school..
Thus my siblings 'playing hooky' is of no matter since they already know ten times what I do..

Does Khan being a bad guy mean ALL such were evil as well?

Don't worry, #456, humanity WILL eventually go down the path of genetic modification for the race. And find it Either a dead end or something happens where Original Genetic Material is what is needed.

Also, the Greys are just part of the society. The workers, mainly. Under control of a hierarchy of relatively Unmodified types, they do all the heavy lifting / boring stuff. The next class up are relatively un changed and are what we'd call 'middle management'. The fairly small upper-crust is nearly identical to US in a genetic measure, but substantial behavioral changes and certain missing abilities with survival value have led to them needing US, the ancestors of untold generations in the past. Maybe Plato's 'Republic' gone mad?
