This is one of the meanest sounding machines I've ever driven and this is one is a beast. I love the sound of this when she revs and pulls it off the ground.

I have always loved Mopars.I will never forget the days when you couldn't give Chrysler products away and now that is just the opposite with these old classics. In 1973 when I was in 9th grade,a Plymouth Superbird was 1200 dollars used and this was with the Hemi engine. Today, you couldn't touch the car for less than 270k.Amazing what time does.Hell,a 1958 Marantz 7C with brass face plate went for 15k.

The 340 did seem to spin up quite well, posted on April 21, 2017 at 04:56:03

Somehow they were a lot stronger than 318 and zippier than 360.
With a cam and those "tri-y" headers they were easily capable of taking on big blocks.

Good friend had one many years ago. Built 340, built auto, gears... thing went pretty darn quick and sounded mean. Not a Dodge guy, don't like the looks of the Duster, but a pretty mean machine in the day.

Had over 150K miles on it. He towed his dirt bikes with it. Passed everyone going up grades. But, had to stop every 150 miles or so, for gas.
