Watching our usual dose of It's a Wonderful Life last night on TV, and I may need even more after living through 2020. It's interesting how history repeats itself. Mr. Gower's son died in the pandemic that followed WW1. There are some audio references: Mary pulls a 78 of Buffalo Gals off the victrola and breaks it after the inattentive George leaves, and a victrola is later repurposed to turn the spit on the chicken that's roasting over the fire on their wedding night, and horn loading is employed in victrolas of course. The look on Donna Reed's face is particularly memorable as she looks out the back window of the cab at George going to see about the run on the savings & loan following the crash of 1929. We had a crisis with the savings & loans when they were de-regulated in the 80's. My 2009 parody linked below followed the Great Recession back then. Now we have another pandemic accompanied by another recession.

Here's to hopes that the roaring 20's to come will go well, and not end like the last ones did!

Paul

Merry Christmas to all and to all great listening in 2021.
I dream of an America where a chicken can cross the road without having it's motives questioned.

The pic won't click for my vintage macbook so I had to look at the description of your rig in your profile and it looks like you are well set up for Happy Hi E. Holiday!

Click the picture to see my system was just my old signature, here at AA, from years ago. Didn't even realize it was a broken link. I'll clean that up.

Happy Holidays
enjoy the music!

"Now we have another pandemic accompanied by another recession."

It's the Great Reset - you will own nothing and be happy.

Happy New Year 2021 !!!

Happy New Years y'all. May your 2021 speakers all be 99dB/w/m or better.
