Hi - I was thinking of buying an expensive speaker driver on eBay the other day. The seller did not know anything about speakers/electronics and the speaker was untested. She did not have a multimeter but was willing to buy one in order to get a DCR reading for me. After picking one up on the last day of the auction, I stepped her through the DCR test process. She said that the meter reading was jumping around but when it stabilized it was generally in the 7.1 - 7.9 range. This driver is rated for 8 ohms and usually measures in the 4.5 - 6 ohm range DCR. I have measured approx. half a dozen of them myself. Question - Would that higher DCR reading scared you off from placing a bid? It did for me, so I passed on it. I didn't really need it and there was still no guarantee that the speaker didn't have VC rubbing or some other issue. Thanks. Gerry
