 Unless I beat the Electrovoice LS-8 into submission with lots of components, I never was able to get a satisfying amount of bass. I was getting distortion on bass heavy material so I knew I was trying to get them to do more than they were capable of. What if..........I cut the baffle down shorter and built the MJ King H-frame using the Eminence Alpha 15A and crossed over to the LS-8 at say, 200hz. Included is a pic of my original baffle with the angled side wings. My shortened, angled baffle could just sit on top of the H-frame. I loved the sound of the LS-8 and didn't feel the need for a tweeter. Thanks for any and all suggestions.
