Just when I got my office sub tuned in...now my Oppo player for this system is acting up.

This is my favorite system for listening with the First Watt amp/preamp that I like so well. Need to shop for another player that can handle SACDs as well as CDs. Mean time I'll repurpose the living room BlueRay/SACD Sony player to the office if I can get it to work. Hoping to avoid big bucks to fix/replace the Oppo. Lots of CD players are out of stock from Crutchfield at this time.

Oppo still services their players, and it isn't expensive. I sent my 103 for repair a little over a year ago. It was back within a couple of weeks. I paid for shipping, and they didn't even charge me a service fee for the minor repair.

Look in the right column for a contact link:

It's not quite dead, I can get the drawer to open and close, but it won't play any discs.

Happy to learn they still support, not sure when I bought it, 2014? Now did I keep the carton?

Thanks for the offer, but I've already begun moving my Sony BluRay player to replace the Oppo. I'll need some help shipping the Oppo so that will have to wait better weather.

Are you going to have the Oppo fixed?

Oppo bdp 103 as a transport?, posted on March 4, 2021 at 23:53:06
Do you think the 103 is good as a transport only device? I have one I'm not using that I could use as a transport into my new DAC. My current CDP is a Jolida CD-101A which is good for it's tubed output, but as a transport-only device who knows which is better? I'd guess the Oppo but I'd appreciate opinions.
