Anything cheaper\better than the Sony UDP-X1000ES?

I want to keep playing and buying SACDs and stream wi-fi to vintage analog equipment.

I had the 95 and still using the 105D both were able to stream either via Ethernet or an included wifi dongle that attached to one of the USB connections. As to their price used that may be a function of what the market will bear given their versatility.

Yes, I have an Oppo 103, and it came with a "dongle" that enabled it to stream WiFi, including not only streaming services such as Netflix, but also easy access to digital files on my networked PC in the next room.

While it is a bit pricey the Sony UDP-X1000ES does do a great job and is about as universal as it gets. I think I even saw a DVD-A option in setup which really surprised me. I've had one for about a year and like it more than any of the players I've had previously. Sony processors in all of their products have always seemed to be on the slow side as far as starting, loading menus, etc. from what I've observed, but the UDP-X1000ES is very fast. A nice feature.

Used Cambridge Audio 752BD for best music playback.

OPPO for movies.
105 if you need to use the onboard DAC.
103 if you are bitstreaming to an external processor.
