The idiots at HRaudio.net, the former sa-cd.net site has eliminated ANY indication of new releases (to their own detriment--they must want to see SACD or hi rez fail completely).

So, the question, does anyone have a different site to go to for the latest release info?

OK, not NEW releases, but as we have been told "SACD is DEAD!", there shouldn't be many of them, should there?

Link below:

First they came for the dumb-asses
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a dumb-ass

Eh! I've got a list of new releases in front of me now http://www.hraudio.net/music.php?page=1

UK releases are listed regularly here too
http://www.prestoclassical.co.uk/newreleases.php?med=SACD

Surely there must be good dealers across the pond doing the same thing.

Dave

Really easy, check the Mobile Fidelity, Audio Fidelity, and Analogue Productions Web sites every couple of weeks. They are essentially the only labels still releasing SACD. Mobile Fidelity and Analogue Productions are releasing them quite regularly. AF, less frequently, but great titles.

If you have deeper pockets, check CD Japan. They list all the SHM SACDs being released in Japan. Pricey, but they sound amazing.

Elusive Disc, Music Direct, Acoustic Sounds all do an excellent job w/ new releases on SACD.

Eh? these are just re-release/re-mastering companies. Every month many new SACD hybrids are released by other producers e.g Channel Classics, BIS, Pentatone etc.

SUPERB> because their methodology and mastering techniques are correct.

(Elusive is a catalog reseller, not a label)

Classical? Sure, there are new releases.

But AF/MoFi/AF release rock, blues, jazz, folk, world etc, which account for 99% of music sales.

There are virtually no new SACDs featuring new recordings aside from classical.

The fact you can see new releases, Dave, doesn't mean you can get to them easily. They used to have a link off their front page. They don't any more.

For HR music.net, go to the index and click on music.
As for buying them, any of the places already mentioned will do. I usually get mine fro Amazon.

Not SACD related (although it's easy enough to generate a list of SACD's by whatever parameters you want), but I'm also amazed by all the titles they have for download, sometimes only in plain old CD resolution. Some of these titles, such as much of the Collins Classics catalog, have been OOP for years!

Not only a superb collection of discs of all kinds but great sales too: right now up to 40% off on Chandos, 30% on Harmonia Mundi.

I see they offer downloads of content, too.

Bonus.
