I'm there. I have all 4, same as you. Try "Air Farina", relatively recent release. It's thematic, with silly non-musical interludes but it has a similar goroove to the Mushroom series.

Are the wierd interludes separate tracks, so that the can be easily edited out, and the music tracks linked up to have (relatively) seamless music?

Not entirely. Also, the interludes have musical content that bridge the longer mixes. I may have left the wrong impression that you could not easily listen "around" these relatively brief speaking parts. The CD flows and I wouldn't worry about the talking "thematic" links.

I have bought and sold 3 twice and I also have 4, posted on July 16, 2004 at 21:14:46

4 is HDCD and I hear it as the best recording....

But it and 3 wear me down with a bit too much repitition and soul influence, - which I'm not a fan of... I also can see him most weekends here in SF, - so maybe I bit worn out w/him.....

For that house sound, - I prefer Naked Music (Miguel Migs), Sasha and Digweed, the housey stuff on Six Degrees and Jeno...

Cheers,

It's a shame that Farina isn't spinning this type of music ...., posted on July 18, 2004 at 17:35:54

at any of the events I've seen him at lately. He's gone into a cheesy hard house phase.

"bit too much repitition and soul influence"

Funny, you identify to of the elements I really like about it. I guess there's no accounting for taste!

I'll like it as long as it doesn't sound like it's too "rootsy" sounding...

For some reason, - I'm able to deal with Moby's gospel and soul re-working, - wherein the Farina stuff doesn't work for me...

Oh well...

Glad you're enjoying them.....
