Shure SE535 for classical music?

I am after a pair of IEMs for portable music. Majority of music listened to is classical. I was thinking of Etymotic ER4XRs but for a similar (UK) price there is the Shure SE535. IEMs for small size (so I can carry them around in a pocket to be used on a whim) and superior ambient noise suppresion. I prefer the ergonomics of the Shures as the Ety's just stick out ffrom your ears and I can't image using them in bed, for example, where any idea of turning onto one side is impractical. Also the Ety's have a reputation for having a shallow and narrow soundstage which is not ideal for classical (just my view). So, comments please. |
