Interesting issues raised.
Biggest one being they are still prospering??
Given that mostly Geezers currently buy Audio gear.. And geezers are timing out at ever increasing rates. Bucket list purchases possibly ?

Or? "Geezers" like me, still satisfied with 802 Matrix S3., posted on August 27, 2021 at 09:02:21

For WELL under $1500 USD, there are few things that will do EVERYTHING I require from my pair of B&W M802 S3 speakers.

Music? Yeah - pretty darn good, and not light years from anything "newer," that would fit in my space.

TV? My 93 & 94 year old in-laws can finally, fully understand dialogue (if they take the time to pay attention.) :)

Imaging? Wall to wall, and plenty deep.

Dynamics? Plenty of amp power on tap. Could possibly get a bit more "snap" and "punch" with horns, but I can't take the "shout."

Yeah - I'm good with my gear.

Plenty of 20-30 somethings that want audio in the home. That hasn't changed since we were kids.

They may not want high end but neither did most of our friends.

Home audio is just as strong as always it's not going anywhere. And the situation is the same with the high end market. The options at every price point has exploded in the past 40 years.

High end audio is actually in a better place than it was 40 years ago. More options, better performance at a given price point, enough demand from the younger generations. It's hard to socialize when everyone is wearing ear bud

This guy Ellis works for B&W ? Is he a self respecting audio reviewer?
