for the Volume Control with ALPS

This is a very simple, well made passive volume control sold under several names (Nobsound, Douk, and possibly other). I use this unit - with a passive RCA rotary switch - on the front end of my power amplifier. I wanted to try a system configuration with minimal processing. This unit appears very well made. It features a nicely finished metal case, a high quality (ALPS) volume control, and copper, gold-plated RCA jacks. The unit operates smoothly and without noise. In other words, it appears to be completely passive. I've been very pleased with the results of this configuration.

Product Weakness: None at this price and in the context of the specific functionality required.
Product Strengths: Excellent construction. Smooth operation. Works entirely as expected.

Mine have XLR inputs and outputs in addition to the RCA's. Like you, I'm happy with the quality of these units.
