Well they were there when I looked two minutes ago.

I checked the link and tried to reach the website again via Google using both Firefox and Edge. Both browsers displayed a warning about the certificate. As I could easily gain access yesterday I can only surmise that the certificate expired overnight.

That has happened here at AA before now so it may just be an administrative issue rather than indicating that they have gone under. Of course in today's special circumstances it may be that what would have been a straightforward issue now has nobody in place to either pick up on it or fix it.

To the best of my knowledge, Metrum has been bought by All Engineering in 2018.
All Engineering has gone broke recently.

They built a decent sounding DAC, IIRC (been awhile since I heard one) but they were priced a bit out of my range.

First they came for the dumb-asses
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a dumb-ass

I visited just a minute ago. They are indeed out of business:

METRUM ACOUSTICS™
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT THROUGHOUT THE LAST YEARS. UNFORTUNATELY WE HAD TO CLOSE SHOP, WHICH IS VERY SAD, YET WHEN THE ORIGINAL FOUNDER OF THE COMPANY DECIDES TO START A NEW COMPANY WHILE STILL BEING A SHAREHOLDER, THUS VIOLATING ALL ETHICAL / BUSINESS RULES, CREATING NEW PRODUCTS BASED ON THE ORIGINAL INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY, THERE IS NOT MUCH ONE CAN DO. WE ALWAYS AIMED TO PROVIDE THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF SERVICE, THE BEST PRODUCTS AND MADE MANY FRIENDS ALONG THE WAY, WE THANK YOU FOR THAT. THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT WE WILL BE BACK SOON, STRONGER AND BETTER THAN EVER WITHOUT THE ANNOYING BEHAVIOR OF SOME FORMER INFLUENCES! !
