I've been following their products with possible purchase in the future.

Came across this thread. See Garth's question in the comments.

Cheers!

any of the aforementioned connections are available to interface with with a DSD (SACD) broadcasting source...

What's your interpretation?

Cheers!

Hi Jonesy,
I followed the link you provided and, scrolling down the page, I saw the following, apparently a feature or advantage to the Gustard:

Adopt more humane modular XMOS USB daughter card.

English is my native language and even I have troubles with it, so I shouldn't make fun of someone else who struggles, too. But for the life of me I can't figure out what that is supposed to mean, and I don't want to use a cruel XMOS USB daughter card.

Jim

"Adopt more humane modular XMOS USB daughter card"

The English translation can be interesting. I sometimes have to read a couple times when I come across products available for import."

I'm thinking by "humane" they mean "user friendly".

My guess anyways.

Also, I'm not trying to endorse any of these products. I just came across some threads when looking at some economically priced DACs like the Gustard. In all honesty am keeping a closer eye on the Oppo Sonica Dac just released. No translation issues there.

Cheers!

Whoa! You're not kidding. And I just read a couple sentences. Looks like an interesting site. Thanks for sharing.

There is an informative thread on Headfi - link below.

There are some comparisons between the A20H and X20/X20pro.
It would seem that the A20H is slightly fuller and sweeter but the X20pro is slightly more detailed. Myself, I like the sound of AKM dacs (AK4397) so I personally might choose the A20H for its apparently silky smooth treble and good vocals; but Gustard themselves say the X20pro is 'better' (a view shared by many owners). So I must admit to being somewhat confused!
You'd better read the full thread.

I'm a bit tempted to hear a good implementation of the AK4497EQ dac ...
