rnhood Audiophile Posts: 11981 Location: South East USA Joined: September 2, 2000	The solid dielectrics have expanded and improved, as well as construction techniques. Paper and oil is old and doesn't really have any advantage nowadays. The life expectancy is less also.

viridian	..we are in "Critics Corner" and I linked to a publication called "Paper And Oil" which clearly shows the last post in 2019. And then I asked why Paper And Oil went dormant. So yup you got it, I was asking about the oil filter in my auto. Good catch.
