I need a interconnect to connect the DAC to the Cyrus IIIi, whish one is better; The Kimber PBJ or the Kimber Hero, I know that the first is more expensive that the last but what I wont to Know is:
What is the best one to this connection?

Many thanks

PBJ is good but can be bright in some situations. Heros are smooth in comparisions. See if you can check both out in your system.

I've never tried the PBJ, but I have two pair of the Heros..., posted on July 23, 1999 at 19:13:29
They were first used between a Cambridge cdp and my Hafler DH110 of
14yrs. Since I'm revamping my system with tube gear, I shall not
go into detail, it just wouldn't be fair.

I do have a second pair which I put up for sale two days ago. If
you're interested email me. These are a traditional 1m length and
come with the German WBT 0144 RCA connectors, which alone sell for
$80 new. They are, of course, locking.

I agree with Passive, that the PBJ can be a bit bright. However my experience is that Kimber Kable is really only telling you what is in the system. The Hero is better and is worth the extra money. I have tried both. I use PBJ for the tuner & tape deck. I would suggest going for Silver Streak if you can, it is a big step up over Hero & PBJ.

I have a Hero which is nicely built and has nice connectors. It seems to sound a little better than the Canare stuff I use for most connections. The PBJs are unshielded and can hum in some cases.

Thanks!
I’m going to see if I can arrange thinks to listen the PBJ vs Hero in my system.
The Silver Streak-147 is a “little bit” expensive for me!

Once again thanks!

Can't argue with that kind of logic. I've owned the Silver Streak and it's great also. Can be bright if your other components are too, though.
Great with tubes.
