hello,
I was just wondering, at what length of speaker wire do you start to get
signal deterioration and it is audible. I just purchased some bi-wire
and got a longer length then I asked for >
(I got 2 runs at 10feet BUT asked for 2 at 6feet)
Should I return them (it will take about a month for new ones to come in) or just not sweat it cuz at that short of length there isn't much signal loss? Also, do speaker cables mellow out over time, mine seem bright uptop?
thanxs for your time

I can hear a one foot section of Monster cable inserted into an existing setup (my own).

AS to less demanding and fanatical listening requirements, the difference between 6 foot lengths and 10 foot lengths will not be the end of the world sonically.

At best, it will be a subtle thing, and depends more on whether you let the extra cable length run close to steel or metal, or coil it up, all no-no's.
