Guys, I'm now 69 and I LOVE visiting here but sadly my health is declining rapidly. Unfortunately, that previous sentence explains it all! My spine is slowly rotting away so I live in constant excruciating pain and sadly because of the "opioid crisis" they've actually cut back my entire break-through pain meds by 100%, and my regular pain meds by 33%!!!!

Add to that I've developed Bronchiectasis, which is a condition in which the lungs' airways become damaged, making it hard to clear mucus. Bronchiectasis most likely developed due to my previously having chronic bronchitis. In my case the mucus constantly builds up and breeds bacteria, causing frequent infections. My symptom includes a daily loud, almost continuous cough at times, that will most likely continue over the next months or years and daily production of large amounts of phlegm. (Try having that during the Covid crisis and watch all the hate stares you'll get) It's gotten so bad I've agreed to be put in a trial drug study!

I didn't want to dump a lot of garbage on you all, I just wanted you all to know the honest reason why my few posts are so brief and why I seldom come back and respond to questions these days. OK?

Love you, guys...

Sorry to hear about being a victim of mother nature and
then we hate 'people in pain' people.

I'll be 71 this summer, no disc between L5/S1 and L4 blown to hell...
Surgeons want to cut and install spacers and a bunch of screws with at least a 12 week recovery time...after my triple CABG in 2018 I'm pretty much trough with f-kkin surgeons...I had the heart problems because I tried all kinds of alternative substances to alleviate the pain...and the discomfort triggered hypertension crises, arrhythmis, increased my sleep apnea, and in general just bonered my life.

And, the f-kkin asshats that decided that people in pain should suffer due to a bunch of numbskulls misusing decent pain relievers should have all that pain visited upon them without any hope of relief...I can not wish enough bad on the FDA for their decision...due to my pain levels decreasing my activity I have put on 40 freaking pounds since effective pain meds were no longer part of my daily medication intake...from the time I first hurt my back in 1993 I have gone from 32x34 pants to 44x32, a d#mn foot in circumference difference! I eat way less than I ever did before, decently prepared food, not much fried stuff at all, I know aging is part off it, but when I parked my motorcycle and quit hiking to photograph as carrying a decent tripod and camera backpack wasn't feasable a large part of my life evaporated...it all seems to have gravitated to my waistline...

So, I feel your pain, literally!

Good luck and hang in there, you're not alone in your situation.

Keep the music flowing.

The current situation in the USA regarding painkillers for those THAT ACTUALLY NEED THEM
and WOULDN'T ABUSE THEM and AREN'T ALLOWED THEM is a travesty of the greed and
and short sightedness of too many "in charge".

Hang in there!

Keep the music flowing.

Best wishes from a fellow Floridian for some type of relief. I can certainly empathize. Had surgery for an L4-L5 a year ago and am now experiencing the same pain on the opposite side, so another procedure may be in the works. I'm a bit younger at 66, but Father Time is creeping in. Let's hope you can do something to see pain reduction.

Sorry if my post comes off as odd. I'm Irish, where the land is literally as green as they say it is. No such thing as battery fed cattle/chickens etc here. Where am I going with this?

A lot of people I know I have literally eaten and exercised themselves back to health without surgery or constant pain killers. Ye seem deprived of that option. I feel for you guys, I really do.

Rick, I'm only sharing this because of all the stuff you took and the heart problems you developed. When they cut back my pain medications I did a lot of research and discovered green-lipped mussels were in my dog's mobility pills. As I further researched I learned green-lipped mussels were safe for people as well! I continued researching and found these 19,000mg green-lipped mussels capsules for people coming straight out of New Zealand by:

Go Mussel New Zealand
94 Nelson St. Petone
Lower Hutt 5012, Wellington
New Zealand

Here's what I can verify from using them, ---{NOTHING HAS HELPED BETTER FOR OVER THE COUNTER PAIN REDUCTION}--- you won't get high, but you won't have pain either!

Sometimes I have to take up to 5 or 6, but remember I was taking 180 mg of Oxycontin daily which is equal to taking a 7.5mg pill of Percodan every hour around the clock! And if you don't believe me multiply 7.5mg x 24hrs and see if that doesn't equal 180mg!

They can cost as little as $25 a jar to $50 a jar so shop wisely. I don't know why but Amazon has seemed to stop carrying them. I hope this helps you as much as they helped me...'''

I hope you tried spinal decompression , PRP shots, and exosomes shots. Those are regenerative.
The surgery hardly ever works right.

My dad had a spinal / joint problem and a pinched nerve.
I'm guessing 1970s.....
Doc said do NOT move. And he stayed still for a couple weeks.
Than swam a lot and was very healthy...in that regard....for the rest of his life.....
I'd say the surgery was very successful....
A cervical laminectomy by name....
Too much is never enough
