In the late-90s, the audiophile sat alone in the stereo's sweet spot. When he communicated with another audiophile, he was laser-focused on the product. He did not talk about music or girls. And he could not square the dichotomy between the positive reviews of the original Tara Labs Air 1 interconnect, and that product's poor performance at home.  In the late-90s, the Backstreet Boys, 98 Degrees, and *NSYNC were battling it out for boy band supremacy.  In the late-90s, we were all in our 20s, so hardly anyone was married. The girls had to drag the guys, to come out. Back then, we did not have any cable burn-in devices. Years later, we did stick samples of the Air 1 interconnect on an audiodharma Cable Cooker. The latter cannot magically transform a cable into something it is not. In this case, the Cooker, while lessening grain and firming up the imaging, revealed the Air 1's flaws and weaknesses.  In the late-2000s, almost all of us were married. We were deep enough into our marriages, that conflicts arose. And then, arguably the biggest boy band from our high school era, NKOTB (New Kids On The Block), came out with "2 In The Morning." It didn't just use Auto-Tune; it featured it! Anyway, "2 In The Morning" helped couples work it out. In the late-2000s, the audiophile was not as laser-focused on products. He now asked about the music, especially material after the 1970s.  In the late-2000s, the last time I handled or used the Tara Labs Air 1 Series 2 (A1S2), we used a Cable Cooker. Via experimentation on multiple samples, we determined that optimal Cook time for the A1S2 line-level interconnect was 4 days. Hard to believe that that was a decade ago. We still love NKOTB's "2 In The Morning," which reveals the A1S2 to be superior to the original. But we now have different electronics, so we'll put these newly brought-in samples of A1S2 to the test. In the late-2010s, the audiophile finally came around to asking about girls, but he was far too late. So back to audio products :-) -Lummy The Loch Monster
