A Question about Siltech Interconnects?

I just picked up a pair of Siltech SQ286 interconnects. It was an auction item. I note that one end of each cable has a red heatshrink and the other end has blue. Are these cables directional? If so, which color end goes to what?

The blue end goes to source the red to amp or pre-amp....
