Just got my hypex amp, with a stock but beefy power cord.
Is there any point in upgrading the cord given the amp's efficiency?

I've never came across any audio component that is insensitive to a power cord upgrade. I suggest the Hypex class D amplifier be treated like any other component and experiment with various aftermarket power cords. If you already have an aftermarket power cord for your previous amplifier, I would try that one first to hear how sensitive the Hypex class D amplifier is via a power cord that you are already familiar with.

I've had Tripath, various generations of ICE, and PASCAL amps. No HYPEX though. That said, they have all benefited greatly from PC upgrades as well as vibration control. They also thrive on clean power.

Not Hypex, but, Classe' amps w/ Transparent power cords, Anthem w/ Audioquest power cords, Primare w/ Cardas power cords. Hope this helps.
