Anybody play with experiment with solid brass wire? I'd so what are the sonic differences between ,brass ,copper, silver?

I know very well the D.C. Resistances between them so please nothing about this I am only interested in how it sounds

Thanks

I have built amps with brass screws and thumb nuts for speaker binding posts -
The amps are very well regarded -
I still enjoy the sound- but
I have not modified the amp to accommodate others- so no comparison...
Happy Listening

A copper alloy brass connector is a different animal than a brass wire, of which from a conductive purity perspective, the impact of the mixed-metallurgy must be multitudes greater than the impact of a copper alloy connector. If basic OFC copper wire is considered the baseline standard for audio purposes, a brass wire must be near the bottom of the list of ordinary metals for audio purposes. Even though other materials are also options to consider, the highest purity copper or silver are considered the ideal wires. As for the sonic differences between brass, copper, and silver; brass tends to sound leaner, comparatively brittle, reticent, or constrained, and simply less musical than pure copper, which tends to sound warmer, with a more natural and effortless musicality, while pure silver tends to sound quicker, with less emphasis on tonal richness, sometimes in favor of a smooth, refined, and elegant liquidity that may be application or listener-dependent; an aesthetic appreciation vs. that of pure copper as a reference point. YMMV

I found a large roll of brass wire and gave it a try. It was probably 18 gauge in size. As expected, the bass was dominant. I think a smaller gauge would be interesting to experiment with. I did try a tri wire configuration which consisted of that brass and smaller size copper and silver wires. If nothing else, it is a great lesson in how different materials do affect the sound.

If you're only interested in"how it sounds" then listen and decide.
