I have an opportunity to get a pair of Amber Series 70 amps. Does anyone know how to run as mono blocks? There is a switch for stereo/mono, but which speaker connections should be used, no indication on one amp and the other says use the 2 positive outputs(red). Input connections go to the left. connecting to the 2 positives(red) results in no sound. Connecting to the left outputs, plus and minus, works, with no blown fuses and amp runs barely lukewarm.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Download the manual(s). Owned one of those amps many moons ago (when they first came out). Understand that they are old and you may need a really good technician to fix things.

I have to agree. I would be very cautious about purchasing a unit this old. It is due for a complete change of all electrolytic capacitors. I have an Amber integrated that worked great until it didn't. I don't have the patience to recap it and I won't pay hundreds of dollars to have someone else do it. I will say that when it worked it sounded good.
