any places with better than mylar, values up to 1mf, and up to 16 volts dc. I'm all out.

I can't find any possible

Mouser has any kind of quality capacitor that you desire.

Story said he's looking for, "better than mylar, values up to 1mf, and up to 16 volts dc"

My first thought was Mouser too, but "better than Mylar" film caps rated at that low-voltage are exceptionally rare, and Mouser has none.

Why Story has put a 16 volt limitation on caps, I'm not sure, other than perhaps their small size.

I bought some 0.47 uF @ 50 VDC caps from an ebay seller expressly because of their small size, but they're Mylar. I've used them in Marantz SS to replace 0.47 uF electrolytics, and I'd have liked to use something like polypropylene caps, but try finding them that tiny.

yes, their method for picking caps found none but I'm going to try a higher voltage next time and see what pops up. Physical size is limiting.

I'd like to have some since my supply is exhausted. Recently I tried some improvements to an old Carver time lens and it actually works with the right adjustments and works well.

I have too much holiday time on my hands and the s.o. does also which can sometimes be a problem. I told her strictly years ago- when I'm soldering do not disturb unless it's an emergency, mad scientist at work.

Nobody makes film caps in 16V versions. Given the small size of today's caps, 50V is probably going to be the lowest voltage. You might fine some surface mount caps that are smaller, but through hole, no.
