Anyone hear the 2 channel ATI N-core class D amps? 52***. N-core + beefy linear power supply, what's not to like?
Thinking about Latino 120 tube amps? a step down?

It's sounds like you're not that happy with your system.

We've all had this happen at some / several points in our systems evolution. You need to take stock in your present components. What is working, what's NOT working for YOUR taste.

Me personally - I'd dump the Class D. If you go the VTA route, and they are great amps, then go with Gold Lion KT66 outputs, 12BH7 driver tubes and NEVER use 12AU7's, upgrade the input and grid stopper resistors to Vishay RN metal film resistors and the C1 coupling cap too a Orange Drop 716p. That mod is a whoppin $10 bucks!!!

What speakers are you using and what's your end goal in the system?

Speakers are Parnham 4Pi, a horn/JBL based 2 way.
Despite speakers, Trying to downsize

Consider a Rogue integrated and a Marantz NA7004 DAC/streamer. Sell off what's not working for you.

"Amplifier Technologies owns the ATI, Audioaccess, BGW and Theta Digital brands ..."

I imagine not ... oh well.

The Latino VTA-120 is very hard to beat for its price. You will not be disappointed.

NCore = ultra-low distortion; Latino VTA-120 = relatively large amounts of 3rd order distortion.

3rd order distortion sound very pleasant; near-zero distortion doesn't necessarily sound good especially with not-so-good recordings. So choose your poison.

Not true .. All the VTA amps use an pentode ultralinear output circuit which gives similar power to pentode BUT gives much lower values of 3rd order distortion than straight pentode mode ... Check out the included link which shows distortion spectrums from triode, pentode and ultralinear output modes on an EL34 push/pull tube amp.
