Thinking about trying the ARC 75SE amp

 I currently have a PASS X250.5 amp with a ARC SP20 preamp driving my Wison WP8's. within the past year I had a guy come over with his ARC Reference 110 amp to try as I might have wanted to purchase it to match my preamp. To me after a few hours of comparison with my PASS I didn't make the purchase. (Took the guy out to a nice lunch) he knew it was a crap shoot but wanted to hear for himself too and lived within an hour.

Still having the ARC amp bug and all I read about the 75SE I'm thinking of trying it. Three questions arise.
1) will 75 watts be enough to keep me happy?
2) Will the 75SE outperform the Ref 110 by a long shot
3) Should I be looking at the 150SE even though I read the 75SE is something special.

Your thoughts and opinions wanted.

 Heard both of them already . It depends on the efficiency of your speakers, size of your room and how loud you listen . The mids of the REF75SE is hard to beat maybe the best mids among the REF series amp . User friendly as well , you can bias it yourself because of the front meters . It's a modern reincarnation of the D79 series . The REF150 SE sound great as well .

 Room is 18 wide by 13 deep open to the left another 11 feet (dinning area) room is treated. Speakers are rated 90db/1 watt at 1k minimum 3 ohms. I generally listen at 80 to 95 db in loud passages. Sometimes I like to open it up 90 to 100+ db.

 Considering the size of your room and you occasionaly listen loud go for the REF150SE , or to the REF 250SE if budget permits . Its one thing to have great mids specially if you listen to a lot of female vocalist , torch songs etc. But personally for me once you exprience dynamic contrast ( specially if your speakers are capable of doing these as well ) there is no turning back . Music literally jumps to you just like in live music. Experienced it the first time w/ my Duntech speakers and my old audio research Classic 150 monoblocks & my D250 MK2 servo . Thats why I love my current amp the REF 610T's .

 Reference 210 monos together with Reference 5 SE preamp driving the Wilson Alexia speakers using the CD 9 as the source. The sound was very fast, lucid, robust and visceral as the same time, which made the room totally disappear.

I was a little miffed to find out that the Oracle Delphi MK VI Gen 2 turntable beside the Reference Phono 10 was missing the cartridge. It would have been great to audition it as well. Oh well, such is life.

Definitely, If your budget permits you should listen to the Reference 210 monos as well for comparison against the Reference 75 SE.
