I have two copies of Steeleye Span's Parcel of Rogues on Chrysalis Records. One label is blue and white. The other is green.I was wondering if the colors indicated different pressings?

They switched to blue-white in '77 or so.
The green labels sound better, as they used better quality (heavier) vinyl in those days, plus the advantage of earlier stampers.I keep a look-out for early Tull and Steeleye Span LPs on the green label to replace my blue-whites. The UK green label pressings sound even better.

He has a green UK War Child up for bid now, apparently Mint, minus one play (his, for grading)!
I have this particular pressing, mastered by George Peckham, and it knocks your socks off!
I have been told this dealer is a reputable one. An impeccable history card anyway. And look at the stuff he offers!
I love looking at oneadayrecords' auctions. Even though I can't afford any of his stuff, he always offers some real beauties and does offer quite a bit of interesting information with many of his auctions.
I am like you! Just for "fantasy"'s sake!!
Another thing I find that sets him appart is the little anecdotes, like for Zep IV, he can testify about the original color of the label because he was there with a chum the day it was released and hit the store!
You do remember such details (from the vinyl LP era, of course!)...
Probably, but look also at the dead wax information. If they are identical, likely the same pressing but different label, but if the info is different, there's your answer :-)
Let me correct that. If deadwax info is identical, then it could still be a later pressing but using older stampers and sticking a label on it that is appropriate for the target market. Or could all be pressed at the same time, just labeled differently. This is in general. I don't know about Chrysalis per se.
My favorite Span LP!
