...from Genesis Live with Gabriel and Hackett. I have a lot of Genesis and this one is a start to the band at its best. Duke was pretty much the beginning of the end and where I got off the merry-go-round. Lamb is the crystallization of the band with the story telling infused with drugs, probably acid for Gabriel. Strange guy and way out of the ordinary for sure.
Follow Ups:
Mine was signed by Mr Hackett. A keeper.
I'd love to have that keyboard gig...
And, yes, Foxtrot is my favorite Genesis LP.
Open up your mind, in pours the trash. - Meat Puppets, 1987
Steve is wonderful, never saw this one but I do love Spectral Mornings. Not much mention of Genesis at all in the past few years, maybe spoken of too much around here but they are well recorded and produced vinyl
That "Live" album is one of my favorites. I'm listening to the 1973 LP that I digitized years ago. I see, too, that the 2009 release contains a lot more music from show(s) recorded in 1975.Call me a fan up through Wind & Wuthering. Even "From Genesis to Revelation" - the one they recorded as 15-year-olds - has some amazing moments and shades of what was to come.

and my Charisma label sounds so good for a live album back then, incredibly careful recording. And the pressing is QUIET
