I was digging through the usual vinyl dreck in the Housing Works thrift store in NY when my wife came up to me with this stack of records and asked me if I was interested in any of them, she found them in a bag someone had just dropped off. The records and covers, except for the Steely Dan, are in near mint condition and at 30% off of $2.00 quite the bargain. I will keep the Roxy Music and Talking Heads and if the Steely Dan is better than what I have I'll replace my copies then take the leftovers in for trade.

Follow Ups:
They used to pull the good stuff and price it individually, and put it on a box on the front counter. The prices still weren't high - I bought a $50 record for $8 there, about 15 years ago.
It was the one on Columbus and 74th. I didn't see a box on the counter and they had just been dropped off when my wife spotted them and asked if she could buy them, so maybe the employee/volunteer didn't know. There was another guy there kind of following me around, probably hoping I would discard them, he finally came up to me and spoke so I showed him what I had and we chatted a bit. He was just another collector not a shark.

Not the usual thrift shop fodder. Enjoy the tunes!

Just finished round four of chemotherapy yesterday. Back home in Wyoming, trying to take it easy. Will return to Billings Clinic in two weeks for an MRI which will show effectivenss of treatment. Hoping it looks good and that remission from brain cancer is possible.
Well I know we all are hoping for the best for you.

I bought these records over 10 years ago. Nowadays i find only classical vinyl here in Holland. The local record stores don't even have a lot of used vinyl anymore, just reissues and new albums. Good score!

Congrats! Keepers all. Country Life remains my all-time favorite Roxy Music LP. And kudos to your wife for spotting 'em.
Yeah, she's a keeper. Actually that is Stranded, an album I'm not familiar with and it is quite good, also a keeper.

That's what I meant ... as I realized this afternoon when I went to dial it up on the player. Country Life is pretty good, nonetheless.
Nice record score too!
