Wow! Why couldn't I think of this? Such an essential part of vinyl armamentaria! And such a bargain at $40. To add to the allure,it comes with its own pouch! And to think I've been using an ordinary rat-tail file. Note: it got 26 five stars with nary a complaint about price.
Follow Ups:
I use a dull paring knife from the thrift store. Just enough pressure to hear it scrape, not a gram more. It works perfectly. I told a lady who was having the problem of inadequate disc holes about this. She tried it. She had one guy hold the record, and she got on her knees and with both hands stabbed the record with all her strength and weight. She was so mad at me she gave me the gashed record. Demonstrating that some people shouldn't be allowed to do things.
I can't remember ever having to ream out a vinyl center hole. All my records seem to work fine. Of course, I have only about 1000 records because I've switched to digital, but all the records I own seem to fit the platter spindles of both my turntables. If anything, some spindle holes might be slightly too large.
It sure looks beautiful, though! The little pouch is a nice touch, too. I guess you can carry it around with you to impress other vinyl enthusiasts you visit for a listening session. ;-)

a number of very tight fits and difficulty removing records from the table.
Not enough for me to consider drilling a new, bigger hole in the album.
Yeah, I used to own a TD-126, which had a tight fit to some of my records. I don't think I ever reamed the spindle holes, though. I just pushed the labels down a little harder. To take them off, I'd pull the LPs up from the edge with one of my thumbs on the spindle to prevent them from popping off. ;-)

$50 which is just a drill bit with an inch sticking out of a handle with no cover, this one, 20% cheaper and comes with a cover.
...it's not just that sometimes the centre hole is too small. It is that it is sometimes slightly in the wrong place!
Any solutions for off-centre pressings?

There's no virtue in being old,
it just takes a long time
Great idea. Maybe I could get a chair with easily adjustable height to cope with warps?
:-).

Either that or sell a body part and buy this:
Yes, the Nakamichi Dragon of course. Sadly as rare as hen's teeth worldwide and virtually unheard of aside from press reports back in the day here in the UK (and, I gather, in the rest of Europe).
Sadly as with so many things you just can't win. Although it corrected off centre pressings apparently its sound otherwise is/was only average especially given its price level.
Given the vast prices of the handful of most expensive turntables on the market now ( <700K inc. arm) it is surprising that no one since Nakamichi has attempted to solve what is, after all, one of the major downsides of vinyl replay. I have too many " swingers" (as my friend calls them) in my collection to overlook the fault.

I've not encountered a lot of off-center records but for those I've heard the pitch problems are immediately obvious. Listening to a piano on an off-center record is excruciating. An inexpensive, simple to use and effective device that corrects this issue would be most welcome.
records would be to ream out the center hole a fair bit larger than normal, then get a small piece of thin plastic, like a piece cut out from a credit card. Then punch a spindle-sized hole in it, then tape or glue it in the proper spot over the enlarged original hole. Might take a few plays of experimentation to find the right exact spot, so starting with tape would be best.
Just a random thought on the subject.

That's a good idea. Thanks.

Now that's funny.
Five bucks or something like that. 'Course, mine isn't audiophile grade.
The problem is not that there is evil in the world, the problem is that there is good. Because otherwise, who would care?

This is audiophile grade reaming.
Reaming is right—but not the record...-
