do you like Andy Powell's solo and other works?
he's effective with Renaissance yet I found it an odd match for a fellow known for 'trance' music to emerge there
regards,
Follow Ups:
I've never heard his music that I can remember.
"Bass is the place..the rest is filigree and lace" Doug Sax
he's the guitarist on that cut, and you probably have without realizing it
look him up, he's kind of a 'trance' specialist, very interesting
best regards,
Actually, Powell just does the electric solo. The acoustic work is Dunford.
Any Powell was part of Wishbone Ash. They reciprocated the guest spot by asking John Tout (keyboards) to play organ on one of their albums - think it was Argus.
you are correct sir!
one recording / live tape project I've been trying to get my hands on is Night Of The Guitar where he appears with Randy California [Spirit] Jan Akkerman [Focus] Steve Howe [Yes] Steve Hunter [Mitch Rider, Alice Cooper, Lou Reed, others] Robby Krieger [Doors] Leslie West [Mountain] and Alvin Lee [10 Years After ... who cuts heads on the others!]
I've only ever seen it on VHS ... but still looking
with regards,
